Four Costumes in Junk Kouture Regional Finals18 Feb 2014
Four costumes created by Loreto Transition Year Art Students have reached the regional finals of the very exciting Junk Kouture competition!
The costumes challenged the students to create high-end wearable fashion from everyday junk and allow themselves to be inspired by their own imagination. The competition also subtly educates about the importance of recycling and reusing waste for the good of the planet.
Their creations will be presented next at the regional finals in Limerick on the 14th of March and we need now your votes to help the groups to progress further. The vote will be worth 10% of the overall result. The idea is give the students work exposure to the general public and carry the message of “Re-Use Re-Cycle Re-Fashion” which is what Junk Kouture is all about.
The online vote will take place between 9am on Monday 24th February and midnight Friday the 28th February exclusively on the ERP Ireland’s Facebook Page (facebook.com/ERPIreland). Everyone can vote once per day – so that is 5 votes in total that each person can give. So please vote for one of the costumes, pictured below.
