Soroptimist International Girls Public Speaking Competition


 

On November the 14th three confident Transition Year students took part in the Clonmel Soroptimist Girls Public Speaking competition.  Aoibhín Coady clearly expressed her views on Democracy in Ireland and our responsibility to vote and Sorcha O’ Gorman represented women worldwide, speaking about Friendship and Volunteering.  Sadhbh Treacy gave an inspiring speech on Empowering Women which left the adjudicators in awe.  All three students surpassed themselves on the day and deservingly Sadhbh received joint first place and will go on to represent the Clonmel Soroptimist District in the regional finals.
